What We Eat

What We Eat

  1. Hi Andrea, Thanks for posting this. I agree so much with this diet advice! After my lap band surgery, I was encouraged to use protein powders and bars, etc. I knew they were wrong for me, but I ate them anyway. I did lose 98 lbs., but still craving sweets and starches, I have regained 25 lbs. I had been seeking healthier options when I read Michael Pollan's book In Defence of Food. I've also read MaryLu Henner's books-all pointing me in a more healthy direction. I am now eating mostly vegies, fruits, unprocessed or low-processed foods every day. I no longer use Cow's products, substituting Goat and Sheep products. I am so much healthier! I feel so much better than I did 3 months ago. More on my blog-rustiquetoo.blogspot.com Thank you!

  2. Hi Sherry, I appreciate our on going dialogue. Good for you and all the changes you've made. From what I've read and from just at the start of my journey, it seems substituting foods to replace former choices that meet our needs, are healthier and null cravings is a key strategy. I will stop by your blog to read more about it. Have you seen the film Food Inc.? If not it is a must see.
    Thanks for commenting.
